Route selection
The route engine searches the stored network graph for the path with the fewest station-to-station steps. Line changes and configured walking connections are then separated into journey segments.

How Metro X turns operator references, mapped coordinates and clearly labelled calculations into route and station guidance.
Review status
Core network facts are checked against operator material. Route, distance, fare and time figures are calculated by Metro X and are labelled as estimates where appropriate. Nearby landmarks come from a dated OpenStreetMap snapshot and use approximate straight-line distance, not walking distance. Methodology last reviewed: 9 August 2026.

Distance is the sum of straight-line distances between consecutive stored station coordinates. Time is an estimate based on distance, stop count, interchanges and any configured walking-transfer time; it is not a live timetable.
Standard QR-ticket and card figures are generated from the current distance-slab model in the application. Discounts, special services, operator-specific rules and later fare changes can differ, so the official operator remains the final authority.

Metro X does not provide live train positions, disruption alerts, gate closures, lift availability or guaranteed first/last train times. Coordinate distances can differ from track and walking distances. Always check the relevant operator before urgent or accessibility-critical travel.
If a station name, facility, entrance or nearby place is wrong, include the station name and a reliable source when reporting it. This helps us correct the underlying record instead of only changing page wording.
